One thing I’ve been asking myself after the incident is why she didn’t just ask me to do it. I never say no and I always do what she says, but I guess I’ll never really be her pick. I’m speaking about my mother, I’m not saying she doesn’t love or care for me but I’ve always felt some neglect or favouritism when it comes to how she treats us. She is a single mum and technically I’m her only child but I have a cousin that I’ve grown up with since I was so little, she is as good as my sister at this point. She is older than I and prettier, I know that shouldn’t matter but everybody makes it matter. Don’t get me wrong she is really cool, a typical popular girl but not the mean kind, everyone likes her, she’s friendly and smart and always helpful. She loves to dance and is really just good company and honestly I get why she has all the friends and is always the pick but sometimes I’m like what about me?

I think I’m alright with regards to appearance, I know I’m super intelligent, I’ve never failed any class and always get the highest scores. I’m pretty average in the social scene whether at school or home, I’d much rather study and keep to myself but sometimes I do hang out with a few friends. I don’t know why this is sounding sad or like a comparison, it’s not! I guess once in a while it just feels like I’m invisible and no one actually really sees me. Nonetheless, there’s really nothing wrong with my life, we live well, my mum has done well for herself and I like the place she chose for us to live in.

The Scapegoat area is nice, the founder was a lady who bought the land many years ago and built a couple of housing complexes but the town area is pretty small. It’s got different terrains from savannah type places to forest areas and there’s even swamps. The area has a bunch of animals that we are supposed to co-exist with, I know people would want to hunt them but that’s one of the rules about the area, we are not supposed to kill the wide life. I get the idea but for us it makes it a little difficult because my mum has one of the properties closer to the wilderness away from the town. It was a jackpot, the owner built some cool houses there and we live in one of them. It is close to the boundary and has winding trees and lots of stuff built to preserve the trees. The owner really was trying to reserve a lot and I think it was a great way of doing things.
